  1. Email marketing - Email marketing is done by sending out mass emails to potential clients, customers or web visitors that have opted into receiving promotions from you via email. There are a few ways you can go about this. One is simply just to start sending emails out to a list you're collected, which is a simple and free approach. Another way is contacting a email marketing agency and having them send emails to internet user lists they have compiled similar to sending bulk mail to a mailing list. And there is also the idea of using a newsletter program that makes designing the email, recording who opened the email, and sending it out a snap.

  2. Website Ads - Placing ads on popular websites is another great effective way to market your business online. Some great sites to start out with are local news and newspaper sites as they generally will have some of your target audience reading them. You can then branch out from there and search the web for sites that might relate to your industry.

One that particular stand out is sending out an email every month or week to your customers, which could be as simple as writing a few paragraphs every now and then. And of course you can put more into that with content, have an email template designed or get a newsletter generating program but in general sending out emails doesn't usually have any cost associated with it and is really something that is rather quick to do and has does usually get some return for time invested.

Another example to touch upon for cost effective is search engine ads and search engine optimization. Search engine ads are usually quite cost effective because you generally don't have any costs except for when someone clicks on your ad to go to your website. Another plus point is that many of these ads can be setup to start running that same day you sign up.

For search engine optimization the return on investment is quite high and as a result usually receive many visitors to their site dramatically increasing sales. Although on the down side to search engine optimization it can be a lengthy process to have your site initial optimized but in the long run it's usually worth it.
